How to Sign Up with Bloc

Creating a Bloc account is free and can be done in a few minutes. In this article, you'll learn how to sign up and create your account with Bloc

Sign up for an account.

When you create a Bloc account, you agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. To create an account, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Bloc sign-up page.
  2. Provide all the details requested on the form, then click Create an account.
  3. Next, we will send you a verification link to your email. Check your inbox for the email. If you don't find it in your inbox, check your spam.
  4. Open the email and click on the verification link.
  5. You're done!

Make sure you use an accessible email address to sign up. For extra security, we send an OTP code to that email address each time you try to log in to your account.

Note:

Usually, we deliver verification emails almost instantly. If you have yet to receive the verification email, try sending it again.

The Sign-Up Process

All fields on the Sign-up page are required. We use this information to offer Support that is relevant to you and your business.

In this section, you'll learn how we use this information:

First name & last name

This is your name, the person creating the account. This profile is unique to you, and you can use it to gain access to multiple Bloc workspaces.

Business name & category

This is the name of your business. We also use it as the name of the workspace. This is the name that appears on your business bank account, so enter it correctly.

Choose what category your business is in. If you can't find one, select the one closest to your ideal category.

Email address

This is your email address. Make sure it is a working email address. We use it to send OTP Codes, email notifications and dashboard updates as they happen. This should be unique to you, you can use it to gain access to multiple Bloc workspaces.

Country

Choose the country you're operating in. Bloc is only available to Nigerian businesses or businesses selling to the Nigerian market at the moment.

Phone number

Provide a Nigerian phone number. Do not use +234 or any country code. Use a normal 08012345678 phone number format.

Next steps

After creating your account, the next step is to verify your business as a Starter or Registered Business. You can start this immediately by clicking the Set up my Bloc account button you see once you verify your email, or access it later via the link sent to your email.
