Why Is My Transfer Pending?

A money transfer on Bloc can have one of the following statuses. It can either be Pending, Successful or Failed.

  1. Pending: This is the default status when you make a new transfer. It is very temporary and usually changes to Successful or Failed within seconds.
  2. Successful: This is the status for when the transfer is completed and has been sent to the recipient's account. This usually happens very quickly with Bloc.
  3. Failed: This is the status for when the transfer cannot be completed for one reason or another.

The transaction status won't change from "pending".

Transfers on Bloc are usually very fast and completed in seconds. On the few occasions where the transfer is in the pending state for too long, it might be because of an issue communicating with the recipient's bank.

When this happens, we'll keep trying until we've exhausted all options and the transfer is deemed as Failed. When a transfer fails, the amount is returned back to your Account Balance.

Before concluding that your transfer was unsuccessful, try reloading your browser to confirm whether the status has changed or is still the same.

What do I do if I don't have enough money in my account?

If you don't have enough money in your main account balance or sub-accounts, your transfers will automatically fail.
